Max 8Mb/s* Upgrade Request
This is for existing Max product users onlyPlease complete the form below and providing your exchange is upgraded and capable of delivering the higher speed product we will request your line be changed to the higher speeds as soon as possible. WARNING see note below before ordering: *This is the maximum speed before contention, actual speeds may vary dependant upon current usage levels, contention and in the case of rate adaptive products current line quality. During the initial 10 days of service the line speed will vary whilst the line is tested to determine the fastest speed your telephone line can reliably support, after this period the line will then be fixed to the appropriate speed. NOTE: Once you place the order it will take up to 5 days before your line is upgraded and once upgraded there will be a testing period of 10 days during which time your service will vary in speed and possibly in connection whilst the limits of the line are determined. By the very nature of the test it will mean that the line may suffer outages whilst the upper limits are explored, you should also note that the latency of the line will increase by 20 - 40ms due to the new signalling. You should also note that no speed can be guaranteed and the speed you get after 10 days is the maximum sustainable speed your line is capable of and if it's between the limits below then the line is deemed to be working and no faults can be raised regarding speed. Only upgrade if you are sure this is what you want to do and accept the above. The actual speeds will vary dependant upon your line quality between the following ranges:-
Please note that on standard ADSL connections we have a standard lead time of 5 working days between order and install. Unless there are conflicting services or the exchange is not yet enabled - in these cases the lead-time is taken from date the line is clear to receive ADSL service. |
